You’ve been cooped up all winter. You’ve eaten enough chocolate and watched every episode of your favorite series. It’s time to break this monotony and get outdoors! Here are seven adrenaline-packed ways to get your old summertime mojo back.
1. Mountaineering
No trip to the mountains is complete without a mountaineering adventure. You’ll be breathless when you see how high up you’ve climbed! Just make sure you’re adequately trained and dressed for the occasion. Here are activities you can use in your area:
Mountain Climbing
Peak bagging or checking off names of actual peaks of mountains you have climbed.
Hiking
There are short trails you can complete in a few hours. But if you’re looking for more excitement you can go on longer hikes that require overnight treks and camping.
Mountain Biking
Biking in your local trails or the mountain. You can participate in this activity with regular mountain bicycles, or in some locations, you can ride your ATV motorcycles through the mountains.
Rappelling
This is a mountain or rock climbing activity where the climber uses a rope and descends off the cliff.
2. Bungee Jumping
Terrify your parents (and friends) by bungee jumping off elevated platforms and bridges! You’ve been adequately trained, have all your safety gear, and are jumping from a height that isn’t too crazy!
This is a prevalent adrenaline-filled sports activity. It involves jumping off a high platform, a building, bridge, or mountain top. The height of the jump is what makes it dangerous.
3. Sky Diving
Follow the bouncing ball and unfurl your wings! Sky diving is a thrill-packed sport for anyone daring and athletic enough to pull it off. Learn the tricks of the trade and learn the ins and outs of skydiving! Make sure you’re in good physical shape, have all your safety gear on, and suit up before jumping out of an airplane.
4. Hot Air Ballooning
Nothing compares to floating in a hot air balloon, except maybe jumping from it without a parachute. The rush of the wind blowing, the rustling of clothes on your body, the beauty of nature around you. Skydiving is more daring than this, but it’s just as much fun.
There are several places in the United States to go hot air ballooning. Suppose you have an adventurous spirit, skip across the country, and take a balloon ride in New Jersey or California. Suppose you’re more conservative, plan your trip around one of the many winter festivals in various cities, especially New York City, Dallas, Chicago, and Las Vegas.
5. Water Sports
You can’t have summer without water! Water sports are very relaxing, especially when you’re out in the middle of a lake or river and all you can see is water. When the sun goes down and it gets dark, you’ll be amazed at the number of stars and constellations you can see.
You can also find ski boats for sale at various boating sites and stores. Ski boats are different looking than your classic speed boat. They have giant skis on the back of them. You can do tricks and hit ramps, and it’s a blast.
You can take a ski boat out to a lake or river. The best lake or river isn’t vast, so you’ll have some land to drive into and practice your turns coming in and out of the water. Also, if the lake has many trees or plants growing around it, that’s even better because you’ll have something to bounce off of when you hit the water with your ski boat.
6. Motorcycles
Rev it up on a dirt road that is never traveled, or maybe tear up the streets of your town in a sleek motorcycle. If you’re into motorcycles, you can learn how to ride and drive one or ride fast down city streets! Just be careful on the road. You have to have a license, just like any other vehicle. You can also pick up a motorcycle and take it for a long-distance ride.
7. Go-Karting
You won’t have any air time on a go-kart, but you’ll have lots of speed! Go-karts are more fun than motorbikes because you can get into the drive and begin to push the cart at a total rate. If you don’t know how to drive a car, take lessons first, then add this sport to your list of activities.
Conclusion
There are tons of adrenaline-packed opportunities. Whether you drive a motorcycle, ride a skateboard, or jump off a bridge, there are just as many options. Choose something you’re comfortable with.
