When renewing licenses, people usually have to visit the DMV in person. Even if they don’t travel there, they still call them on the phone. So, the DMV is always hiring new agents to handle requests.

Renewing licenses is only one of the responsibilities you’d have in that role, too. You might have to take people out for licensing tests. So, be prepared to scream whenever someone runs a stop sign. All kidding aside, you will need to work with people one-on-one. Driving is something people have to learn at their own pace. Plus, there’s been an exodus from the industry lately. So, in most places, demand for the role is at all-time highs. You might not have to look long before finding somewhere willing to hire.

Make sure you’ve developed a strong mind before trying to enter a stressful role like this. Otherwise, burnout will start seeking you out as if it were a predator stalking prey. Unless you have great coping skills, this industry may not be a great fit.

5. Social Services Assistant

A social services assistant would be responsible for helping social workers manage cases. In this role, you would have to work with parents. As a result of the circumstances they are in, working with them can be stressful. Learning how to manage emotions is vital if you’re going to be in this industry.

But, you’ll have a chance to improve the lives of children daily. By managing their cases, you can develop bonds with them. Plus, you can help their parents become better leaders.
